Celebrating our 10th Anniversary Season

This is a free, live outdoor dance performance at Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park by Texture Contemporary Ballet. We are excited to present new works by Artistic Directors Alan Obuzor and Kelsey Bartman, as well as some favorite selections from past Texture performances.
There are 250 reserved seats available with chairs, in addition to the reserved seating there will be additional seating on the hillside where audience members can bring their own chairs or blankets. Masks are mandatory, physically distanced seating is mandatory. We're looking forward to dancing for you!

A Note about the 2020-2021 Season
During this global pandemic, amidst all of the health concerns related to Covid-19, Texture is celebrating its 10th season. We are excited to have reached this thrilling milestone. Though our 10th season performing schedule has not looked like we had originally imagined, our love, passion, and dedication to dance has not waivered or diminished. Until we are safely able to present in-person performances, we are exploring other options for sharing our work.
We are excited to share our 2020 Digital Series. This is a collection of dance pieces filmed and presented for viewing on your device, that you can watch from the comfort of your own home. You can view these pieces below, and also on our social media platforms of Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. At moments like this, the arts show themselves to be increasingly relevant and needed. People's very existence is deeply entwined within creating, observing, reacting, thinking, moving, growing, evolving, interacting, and so much more. Dance is a way to experience all of the things that life is made up of. Everyday find some way to celebrate life and creativity. Stay strong, stay creative. We look forward to celebrating our 10th anniversary season by connecting with you. |
