Ballet - Ballet is beautiful, ballet is hard, ballet is the basis and underlying technique for almost all forms of dance. We teach an eclectic mix of different styles of classical ballet which incorporate elements of the Vaganova, Cecchetti, and Balanchine methods. Ballet builds strength, flexibility, discipline and self-confidence. Acro - Acrobatic Arts - Our acro class builds flexibility, core strength, stamina, balance, control, and overall body awareness. Acro will help a dancer maintain technique and composure when their feet are not on the floor, which which aide them in contemporary floor work, their jumps, and also classical and contemporary lifts and partnering.
Tap - Tap is a wonderful way to help dancers listen to and hear different timings, rhythms, and intricacies in music. Additionally, tap dancing can act as cross training for pointe work, because it builds ankle and foot strength and dexterity while using the muscles in an opposite way than one does when dancing on pointe.
Contemporary - Our contemporary classes cover a wide range of different movement styles. We include elements of jazz, modern, pointe work, floor work, and everything in-between.
Pre-pointe - Pre-pointe are activities and exercises which focus on developing proper placement and building the strength required for a dancer to begin pointe work.
Pointe - Training on pointe begins only after a strong, comprehensive basic technique has been achieved and the feet, core and legs are sufficiently strong. Permission of the instructor is required.
Variations - We will introduce a range of both classical and contemporary variations.
Partnering - In partnering class, we teach fundamental skills which are required for many different works of choreography.
Pilates - Pilates is a wonderful way for dancers to work and understand their bodies better. Through thoughtful controlled exercises, Pilates builds strength, improves placement, and helps with injury prevention.
Boys Class - This class will help to build overall strength, flexibility, coordination, and will provide a positive avenue to burn off extra energy which is invaluable for all young growing boys.
