Take a look at Texture's involvement in the Pittsburgh community and beyond!
Texture Contemporary Ballet's Children's Shows
Texture offers special Children's Performances at the New Hazlett Theater! We present this performance three times a year alongside our main stage productions.
The performance consist of excerpts from the full-length production, plus a fun, interactive portion on stage with the dancers for all children in attendance!
The event is designed for children ages 10 and under. It is a great opportunity to introduce children to dance as a performing art, enjoy a theater experience, and even learn a dance step or two!
Tickets are only $10 per family!
Our Children's Performance has been named as one of the "Best Places to Introduce Children to the Performing Arts" by Pittsburgh Magazine!
Dancing for the Cure is a charity event organized by dancers and choreographers in Columbus, Ohio. This event involves dancers from BalletMet Columbus, musicians from the Columbus Symphony, and world-renowned artists from all over the nation. The proceeds from Dancing for the Cure will go entirely to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus. At the same time, it will provide the opportunity for a creatively rich environment for the choreographers, composers, musicians and dancers to showcase their talent. Apart from fulfilling our duty to help fight this horrible disease, we will attempt to fulfill our other duties to our art form, by providing a truly world class performance to the community.
