As a new works company, we are always creating, experimenting, learning, and growing. This ongoing creative process enables us to continuously explore different ideas and present pieces by a variety of artists.
Each year, Texture Contemporary Ballet creates and presents more new work than most other companies across the country. We are very proud to offer our audience something that is new and fresh at every performance.
WIP Choreography Project allows choreographers with a variety of experience to hone their craft in an open and encouraging environment. The choreographers for WIP (Works In Progress) present raw, yet complete works in an intimate setting, using dancers of Texture, other Pittsburgh dance companies, or independent dancers.
Choreographers for this year's WIP are:
Elisa Alaio Alan Obuzor Dyson Ramey Madeline Kendall Schreiber Jillian Sinko Rebekah von Rathonyi
WIP (Works In Progress) is an annual choreography project co-founded in 2008 by Kelsey Bartman, Robert Poe, Mary Lohr and Andrea Vierra
Join us in celebrating and supporting local choreographers and dancers in this one-of-a-kind dance performance event!
